President’s Message (December 2009/January 2010)
Another year in the life of the GTRCC will be concluded at our annual Christmas party at Lake Lowndes State Park on
Tuesday, December 1, at 6:30 pm. A pot luck meal will be shared that night. The club will furnish the meat, so if you plan
to attend, please sign up to bring a side dish and drink. You can email (gtrccweb@yahoo.com) your pot luck dish selection
to Cyrena Shows. At the party, the Grand Prix awards will be presented, a video of 2009 Grand Prix events will be shown,
and the 2010 club officers will be elected. The slate of officers nominated at the November club meeting is printed in this
newsletter.
Remember that there will be no newsletter or members’ meeting in January. Only your officers will be meeting to plan the
upcoming events for next year. Don’t forget to renew your membership. The deadline for renewals to earn Grand Prix
points is March 16, 2010. Lastly, put in some additional miles in your training schedule so that you’ll be in great shape to
compete in the Frostbite ½ marathon in January. It’s been an honor serving you as president the last 3 years. Your
continued commitment to the club and your support of its new president and other officers are appreciated.
