Golden Triangle Running & Cycling Club Minutes for March 2010
The March meeting was held at 6:30 p.m., March 2, 2010 at Tampico Bay, Columbus, MS.
Present: Peter and Jennifer Rabideau, Ralph and Carole Stewart, Tom Kennedy, Ann Mellott, Judy Coleman, Tallulah and OK Bryant, Len
Honeycutt and Jill Williams.
1. Peter Rabideau, president opened the meeting and welcomed everyone. Carole Stewart reported on the MUW Health Fair. She, Ann Mellott
and Judy Coleman represented the club and it went well. Carole said there was a good turn out and suggested next time to have a sign up
sheet, and Ann suggested having a decal or other small give-away to give out in addition to the brochures. Members agreed that would be a
good idea and will be considered next year. We appreciate Carole, Ann and Judy volunteering to help.
2. Jennifer Rabideau said that the brochures will be updated soon. She also discussed the Grand Prix schedule and a couple
additions/correction were made. The Natchez Trace Century Ride is April 10 and the Coca Cola 10K is in Corinth instead of Pontotoc. There’s
no information yet on the long bike ride and Peter Rabideau will talk to Lisa Landrum about the ride. Judy Coleman said that Lake Lowndes
would not be sponsoring the Duathalon this year, which was scheduled for Aug 15 . The club could sponsor the race if someone will volunteer to
direct it. If anyone is willing to direct the race or knows someone who would, please let Jennifer know.
Tom Kennedy is stepping down next year after many years serving as treasurer and a new treasurer will be needed. Jill Williams was welcomed
to the club. She is a yoga instructor and agreed to have the program at the May meeting. The April meeting will be in Starkville
